Nation's Best Dance Team

The South Texas Cheer & Dance Academy finished the season as the Nation's Best Dance Team.  It took all 3 dance teams (Mini Street Champs, Youth Street Fly Girls & Senior Street Crew) to achieve this great accomplishment.  Over the season the scores are tallied and at the end the Stallions finished on top.  The Company was awarded the title along with a $3000.00 check presented to them in Las Vegas.  This will be announced in many folders, magazines, etc. next season.  Congratulations to all the athletes, parents and coaches for all of your hard work and dedication.  The money will go directly back into the gymnasium.  CONGRATULATIONS!!!  The dancers are Mini - Victoria Bazan, Aaliyah Bermudez, Bianca Galindo, Jackie Martinez, Maya Martinez, Kazzandra Meza, Becky Ramirez, Bailey Villalon; Youth - Jackie Bazan, Daylann Garza, Deandra Garza, Desiree Garza, Makayla Garza, Jesselle Gonzalez, Shakira Miranda, Stacy Ozuna, Malaya Pistokache, Mayra Toscano, Danniana Zapata; Senior - Annalysa Cruz, Yahaira De Leon, Yaritza De Leon, Jessica De Luna, Daniela Garza, Larisa Sotelo, Danniana Zapata. 

Stars of the Night Spectacular

The 2009 STCD Annual Recital lived up to its name and reputation.  The Stars of the Night Spectacular is arguably the best show to date.  The show was held at the very elegant and prestigious La Joya Fine Arts Auditorium on May 9th.  The night started off with a prayer by 5 year member Stacy Ozuna and was hosted by pageant queen Cassidy Klein.  "Just Dance" was the first routine of the night and was performed by the Stallion All Star Dancers.  The night continued with routines from Tiny Tots (3 years & up) to routines by our Senior performers (15 years & up).  There was cheers, stunts, pyramids, hip hop, lyrical ballet, jazz and tumbling from team members and soloists.  The night concluded with the award section and final performance.  Over 100 athletes were awarded medals and around 50 were awarded trophies, while 4 were given plaques & jackets for achieving the 5 year member award.  Congratulations to All.  New Gold Members are Jackie Bazan, Victoria Bazan, Valeria Gutierrez and Stacy Ozuna.  6 year Gold Members are Daniela Garza, Daylann Garza, Deandra Garza, Desiree Garza, Makayla Garza and Larisa Sotelo.  7 year Gold members are Yahaira De Leon, Yaritza De Leon and Maya Martinez.  6 year Gold Member Staff is Diana Guerrero.  CONGRATS!
